Art Description (What inspired you to create the artwork?) ‘Renewal’ is a three-piece series on scratchboard. They depict three vultures highlighted in white against the back background. I based this series on a poem by Jarod K Anderson entitled ‘Clergy' from his 2022 collection "Love Notes From The Hollow Tree." It talks about the cycle of life and the importance of scavengers to the environment. I also have permission from the author to display the poem alongside the artwork.
