Art Description (What inspired you to create the artwork?) COVID has made many of us fat and weird while at the same time separating us from friends and loved ones. With the return to spending time together, we both lose our masks and joyfully reconnect while also wearing the very facade we thought we took off. The lines showing through the painting reinforce the idea of a facade, with everything being an illusion; we are still hiding our true selves.
