Is this an Original Piece or a Reproduction? Original Piece
Art Description (What inspired you to create the artwork?) As an indigenous man I've always identified with the West Coast Salish indigenous story of the raven. This piece was about me learning to let go of something I wanted. I had developed feelings for a classmate-represented by the India's national flower, the Lotus-who didn't/couldn't return my feelings. I had struggled to come to terms with the fact that the relationship I wanted wasn't one I could have and so I created this piece as a way to let go of my feelings. The two of us united in art could never meet in life.
What year was the artwork created? 2022
