Biomedical Sciences, Bachelor of Science (BM411)

Humber Polytechnic and Ferris State University have entered into an agreement in which applicants from the Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences are eligible for admission to the Doctor of Optometry program provided entrance criteria are met and space remains available in the program.  This pathway provides an opportunity for Humber's Biomedical Sciences graduates to pursue education in optometric healthcare with features including:

  • licensure possibilities in both the US and Canada 
  • one tuition rate for all students, irrespective of country of origin
  • limited number of seats reserved for Humber students

Admission Requirement

Regular Admissions Program: the applicant must have earned a baccalaureate degree prior to the start date at the Michigan College of Optometry.  An application may be submitted while the individual is still obtaining the baccalaureate degree and fulfilling the minimum requirements.  An applicant would apply through the Optometry Centralized Application Service (OptomCAS) by February 1.
