Humber's accredited TESL porgram requires the completion of 12 courses.  The pathway agreement allows the transfer of 5 courses (15 credits) towards the program.  The remaining 8 courses (22 credits) for the program must be completed at Niagara.  It is expected that students will require an additional 16-24 months to complete the program at Niagara.

Students who have graduated from Humber with a Teaching English as a Second Language (“TESL”) Graduate Certificate, with an overall average of B (or GPA 75%) will be eligible to apply for admission into this program.  It is noted that admission to Humber’s TESL program requires the completion of a baccalaureate degree as well as approved College scores on language proficiency tests (TOEFL or IELTS).   Degree students enrolled in the TESL program at Humber may apply for the Program at Niagara University during their second semester of study. At the start of Semester 2 at Humber, provided qualifications for admission are met, students would be allowed dual admission into the Program.
