Junior Naturalist Camp: Fantastic Freshwater

Humber Arboretum day camps are based out of the Centre for Urban Ecology, but campers spend most of their time outdoors making their own discoveries in the forest, river, meadows, wetlands, gardens, and ponds of the Humber Arboretum.

The Junior Naturalist program is for curious youth ages 12 to 13 and focuses on  fun, in-depth explorations of the weekly theme and the flora and fauna of the Humber Arboretum.

A camp standing in the West Humber River looks down into a river net to see what they have caught.

Fantastic Freshwater

Monday July 20 to Friday July 24, 2026

From river to pond to wetland, freshwater is essential for healthy ecosystems. But why is it so important? And what's happening beneath the surface? Get ready for a deep dive into the West Humber River and the Arboretum wetlands.
