Please note registration for this event is now full, but you may still join the waitlist to see if spots open up.
First we learned about amazing owl anatomy and ethical birdwatching during Who's Hoo part one - now it's time for a live owl meet and greet!
Come to the Centre for Urban Ecology to meet some of the unreleasable birds of prey who are cared for as part of the University of Guelph's Wild Ontario environmental outreach program. You'll be in the room with several species of owl (and at least one hawk, in honour of Humber Polytechnic's Humber Hawk mascot).
Hear the story of each individual bird and learn more about their species.
When: Wednesday February 25, 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM
Where: Inside the Centre for Urban Ecology (the glass building with the red door at the top of the path from the front entrance).
The Humber Arboretum is found at the back of Humber Polytechnic North Campus, 205 Humber College Blvd.
Who: This event is open to all. (You do not need to have attended Who's Hoo part one to participate in part two)
How: Please note this event is now full but you may have a waitlist. Registration is required for this event as space is limited. Tickets are free, but we invite contributions to our Nature for All Fund from those who are able. A donation of $20 per person is suggested, however those who cannot afford that are welcome to donate a lower amount, or nothing at all. Those who would like to donate more are also invited to do so.
First, join the waitlist here.
Then, if you are able, please make your chosen donation to the Humber Arboretum Nature for All Fund
(Please note that as a tax receipt will be automatically issued, donations are non-refundable even if you later cancel your ticket.)
