Our Barrett CTI Technologists: Anthony Nyman, Anxhelo Mecollari and David Vanamelsvoort worked hard to produce 100 face shields for Humber faculty and staff. Also want to recognize Vlad Porcila, Technologist in the Faculty of Applied Sciences and Technology who assisted with cutting all of the shields that wrapped around the masks. We utilized our Trotec laser cutter and Fortus 450mc- the largest 3D printer in the room. The process took up to three hours to produce four face shields. While it was time consuming, we were very excited to be able to use our high-end technology to support our Humber colleagues in the fight against COVID-19.
