Cutting Edge Resources
Working with our industry partners, we are able to provide small-to-medium size enterprises (SMEs), faculty and students with cutting-edge resources throughout the Barrett CTI’s many interactive labs, technology zones and maker spaces. Partners, SMEs, faculty and students work together as collaborative teams to tackle business challenges. In pursuit of solutions to real-world business challenges, collaborative teams have access to technology and equipment that includes Advanced Automation and Robotics, augmented and virtual realities and prototyping labs, to name a few. While businesses benefit from having access to these resources, faculty and students get hands-on experiences while working with leading-edge equipment and technologies.

Magna’s involvement with Humber and the Barrett CTI is setting students up for a bright future and is a catalyst for innovation in mechatronics and the advanced manufacturing sector. Having the support of Magna validates the concept Humber is promoting as part of the solution to our country’s innovation challenge, while providing students with the opportunity to continue their development. Through ongoing support from Magna, Humber is making great leaps forward as Canada’s leading polytechnic institution, particularly in student skills development for Industry 4.0 and advanced manufacturing. The Barrett CTI as Part of Humber's Centres of Innovation
The Barrett Centre for Technology Innovation is part of Humber's COI Network. This network of five Centres of Innovation provides access to several other resources that can benefit businesses. Each COI is focused on a key area of Humber’s proven strength and industry growth including Technology Innovation, Creative Business Innovation, Innovation in Health and Wellness, Entrepreneurship, and Social Innovation.
