The Black Futures Mentorship Program is an identity-based mentorship initiative that supports emerging Black Learners at Humber Polytechnic through transformative relationships with seasoned Black professionals. Rooted in shared lived experiences, using a holistic approach, the program helps mentees navigate systemic barriers, build skills, and strengthen their sense of identity. Through holistic mentorship, participants receive guidance in three key areas:

  • Academic: Support in overcoming challenges, setting goals, and accessing learning resources.
  • Personal: Encouragement to explore passions, build life skills, and grow with confidence.
  • Professional: Career planning, networking, and skill-building with insight from experienced mentors.

Students also have the opportunity to receive a $1,000 scholarship through Awards and Alumni in partnership with the Black/African Employee Resource Group.
