Microsoft is making the authenticator app mandatory; you will need to have installed by November 30! Download and configure the authenticator app today using your username@humber.ca login credentials today to avoid interruptions to your service. Users who authenticate with SMS and voice methods must have the Microsoft Authenticator app installed and configured by Thursday, November 30, 2023.
To change your authentication methods:
1. Visit myaccount.humber.ca
2. Click on the ‘update info’ on the security info tab.
For new users, download the Microsoft Authenticator app from the Apple App Store for iOS or the Google Play Store for Android.
The college has no access to your personal devices after you install the app.

Click on the ‘security info’ tab
Click ‘add sign-in method’ – SMS Text Message
Add a second method – Authenticator App
Now you’ve set up your account with MFA and SSPR
On Monday, November 6, 2023, MFA coverage will be expanding to include a wider range of applications. This additional security will assist in protecting your information by preventing other people from gaining access to your accounts. Applications that require username@humber.ca login credentials will benefit from the added layer of security by requiring MFA at sign-in: Blackboard, Apps Anywhere, Microsoft Teams and Outlook
You will now be required to enter a second factor when signing into applications that require your username@humber.ca login credentials off-campus.
