FIPPA gives members of the public a general right of access to records in the custody or under the control of governmental institutions, including Humber College. There are limited and defined exemptions to this general right of access. Staff and faculty looking for more information on FIPPA can refer to our FIPPA Tip Sheet.
Members of the public may request access to records in the custody or control of Humber College by submitting a request in writing, accompanied with a $5.00 application fee. For more information on making a freedom of information request please refer to the “How to make a request” section below.
Legal, Risk and Privacy Office is responsible for receiving and processing FOI requests for the College, and providing education and advice related to FIPPA.

To submit a request under the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FIPPA), please fill out the form with your contact information, a detailed description of the requested records, and send it, along with a cheque or e-transfer for $5 (cash and credit is not an acceptable form of payment) payable to "Humber College ITAL", to the address below:

All FOI Requests forms must be accompanied by the $5 application fee before we can begin processing your request.
Cheques for $5 can be made payable to: Humber College ITAL.
Once we receive the request form and $5 cheque, we will issue a response to you within 30 days of the date we received the request.
We may contact you if we require you to clarify your request before we can begin processing your request.
