On Thursday, May 21, 2020, the Humber Orangeville Campus held its 11th annual Students Success Awards virtually on Facebook Live.
As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, it was necessary to cancel the on-site event but still important to hold it in order to recognize the commitment of so many incredible students at the Orangeville Campus.
The Live event was hosted by Campus Principal Joe Andrews. Aired using Facebook Live and streamed on the Humber Orangeville Campus Facebook page, more than 400 viewers in real-time enjoyed hearing the names of this year’s winners.

The evening began with a warm welcome by Principal Joe Andrews followed by recited words provided by Humber President and CEO, Chris Whitaker.
This event has also been extra special when Chris provides his words of congratulations, and this year was no different.
There were nine recipients including two who were awarded a special Orangeville Campus financial bursary of $500 each through Humber’s Advancement office and the Orangeville Campus Principal’s office.

- Cara Weatherall – GAS program
- Adam Shane – GAS program ($500.00 Orangeville Campus financial bursary winner)
- Dikena Skendaj – PFP program
- Navnit Sidhu – PFP program
- Deborah Sergeant (Faculty) – ECE program
Each award winner will also receive an Inukshuk recognizing their accomplishments this year.
