Achieving our Decarbonization Goals with IEMP

Almost ten years ago, Humber introduced the Integrated Energy Master Plan (IEMP), a 20-year strategy that guides our campus energy efficiency, greenhouse gas and water reduction goals.

Through multiple construction and retrofit projects since 2014-2015, so far we have achieved:

  • 24.2% reduction in energy use per square foot
  • 11% reduction in GHG emissions
  • 23.7% reduction in water use per student
  • about $8.6 million savings in utilty costs

We are on track to meet our IEMP goals and reduce our environmental impact while growing our campuses and giving students the chance to contribute to a greener future.
