Althea Gordon, HR Manager

HR Services is pleased to announce Althea Gordon as the successful candidate for the HR Manager position. In her new role, she will lead the development and implementation of HR technology solutions as the college embarks on the implementation of a new platform to broaden talent management capabilities.

Althea comes from York University where she worked as an Associate Director, Faculty Affairs. She lead a strategic mandate to operationalize the strategic planning priorities accountable for establishing a cohesive and effective HR system in the area of Faculty Experience including academic hiring, career and succession planning, labour relations, compensation, grievance administration, dispute resolution, coaching and mentoring. Althea is also Course Director in the School of Human Resource Management, where she is responsible for the management and delivery of Human Resource Management undergraduate courses. Althea has also worked in HR for Maple Leaf Foods and Unilever Canada.

Althea has her Masters in Human Resources Management from York University and is a Certified Human Resources Professional designate.

Althea brings a strong background in Human Resources Management and Information Systems, and we are happy that she is a part of our Humber HR team!
