I am pleased to inform you of two recent additions to Humber’s Senior Administration Team.
Scott Briggs recently welcomed Barb McConvey, Executive Assistant, Office of the Vice-President, Digital Innovation and CIO succeeding Reva Harknett. Barb will also provide administrative support to the Digital Campus Committee and to members of the executive team.
Barb joined Humber as an Administrative Assistant in Information Technology Services in November 2022. Her role was to provide administrative support to two Digital Campus Plan initiatives: Enrolment & Admissions Rethinking and Digital Identity. In her time at Humber, Barb has become a trusted resource who prides herself on taking the initiative to get the job done.
Additionally, Jason Seright welcomed Adwoa Rascanu, Executive Assistant, Office of the Vice-President, Inclusion and Belonging. Adwoa will provide administrative support to the Office, and to members of the executive team, as they focus on the continued implementation of Humber’s EDI Framework and the braiding of Indigenous ways of being, knowing, and doing into curricula, teaching practices, and operational and decision-making approaches along with our leading work in Sustainability.
Adwoa is joining us from York University where she worked closely with the Dean of Libraries. She has also held various positions supporting C-level executives in the health sector. Adwoa is passionate about EDI work and this passion was a key factor for her wanting to join the college and be involved in our Inclusion and Belonging area.
We are thrilled to have both Barb and Adwoa join the Humber team!
Sincerely,
Nancy Brennan
Director, Office of the President and Board of Governors
