In November 2023, as part of Career Month, the Academic and Career Centre is excited to present its seventh Career Month Event, building on the success of our bi-annual initiative. Learners are invited to join the Kick-Off to Career Month event on November 1 on the thrird floor LRC at North Campus, and November 2 on the second floor L-Commons at Lakeshore Campus.
Throughout the month, we're offering a diverse range of workshops and events with the overarching goal of enhancing career services and educational accessibility, ensuring that students are well-equipped to navigate the evolving job market.
Our extensive event lineup comprises the following activities, and exciting weekly prizes and a grand prize drawing for event participants:
- An informative fireside chat featuring Stacy Lee Kong
- Workshops on crafting resumes, cover letters, interview skills, and LinkedIn profiles
- The career conversations panel in collaboration with Seneca College, focused on equity deserving groups
- A panel discussion on sustainable entrepreneurship
- IGNITE Real Talks for inspiring and insightful discussions
- Engaging workshops on Clifton Strengths and MBTI
