I am very pleased to announce that Christina Meredith is Humber's new Associate Dean of Pathways in the Faculty of Liberal Arts & Sciences. Christina will be responsible for providing leadership to the programs within the Pathways department, including General Arts and Sciences, Dual Credit and Academic Upgrading.
Christina joins Humber from Sheridan College where, most recently, she held the position of Associate Dean Student Success and Wellness. In her role at Sheridan, Christina was responsible for leading the broader Student Experience and Enrolment Management portfolio, and for providing strategic leadership and direction for services and programs related to Career Counselling, Student Advisement, Accessible Learning, the Student Health Centres and Wellness and Counselling services across three campuses. Christina also has extensive experience in teaching and supporting universal design principles with an emphasis on advancing inclusion.
Over the course of her career, Christina has leveraged her background in critical social work, higher education leadership and social justice education to create pathways programming for students who have been historically marginalized and underserved. Christina holds a PhD in Social Justice Education from the University of Toronto, an MSW in Advanced Critical Social Work Practice from the University of Victoria, and an MA in Sociology from York University.
Christina will start in her new position at Humber on January 17, 2022. Please join me in welcoming Christina to Humber.
