Please join me in congratulating Professor Rena Borovilos from the Department of Liberal Studies in the School of Liberal Arts & Sciences, on the successful completion of her doctorate at OISE, University of Toronto.  Rena’s thesis, titled,

“The Impact of Dual Credit Programs on College Students: A Comparative Study of Dual Credit Participants and Non-dual Credit Participants in One Ontario College”  

was supervised by Dr. Peter Dietsche, who has been recognized on numerous occasions for his research into the factors that influence a student’s decision to apply to college or university and the factors that impact their transition to post-secondary. Other members of her committee included Dr. Katherine Janzen, former Associate Vice President, Research and Innovation at Seneca College and Dr. Brian Desbiens, former President of Sir Sandford Fleming College.  Her external examiner was Dr. Bill Muirhead, Associate Provost, Academic and IT at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology.
