Emily Milic, Manager, PR and Communications

Dear colleagues,

Please join me in welcoming Emily Milic as Humber’s new Manager of PR and Communications.

Emily is a passionate storyteller, strategic communicator and postsecondary education champion. She joins us from Seneca where she worked for 10 years in the Communications department, most recently as the Communications Manager.

Her internal communications experience includes overseeing Seneca’s intranet, digital display content creation and employee newsletter. She was also responsible for producing collaborative Marketing and Communications plans for major college initiatives.

As the Media Relations and Public Affairs Specialist at Seneca, Emily was the spokesperson for the institution, provided strategic enrolment support through media relations and produced integrated communications plans for several campaigns and projects. She provided the Senior Executive Team and Board of Governors with updates and advice about issues and reputation management.

Prior to working at Seneca, Emily was a Junior Communications Planner for the Ministry of Community and Social Services. While there, she played a significant role in the announcement and roll out of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act.

She is a former journalist who worked for XM Satellite Radio as an anchor and reporter when the company first came to Canada. She was part of the news team that set the standard for content for the emerging satellite radio market in this country.
