Giving Tuesday is Tomorrow - Help Support Humber Students in and from Foster Care

Tomorrow is Giving Tuesday – an important day that represents a global movement, with the goal of creating a world built on humanity and generosity.

This year, we are once again raising funds to support extended society care students (students in or from foster care) to continue to build upon the new bursary fund that Humber created last year.

Extended society care students are particularly vulnerable to financial barriers that heavily impact their success in school.

  • Only 48 per cent of extended society care students graduate from high school. And less than five per cent graduate from post-secondary education.
  • There are currently 126 extended society care students attending Humber programs, 42 of whom are currently in foster care.

With a gift today, you will help remove some of the barriers for these students, allowing them to focus on their studies, rather than worry about their finances.

We are so appreciative of the support of our Humber community, including our very own faculty and staff. We hope we can count on you once again to make a donation to support this important initiative.

And, the good news is that in honour of Giving Tuesday, your gift will be matched to go twice as far.

Don’t miss this opportunity to make a life-changing difference today. Donate at humber.ca/HumberGives2023.

You can also visit us tomorrow, November 28, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m at North Campus (E Concourse) and on Wednesday, November 29, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Lakeshore Campus (L Commons) to make your donation on site.
