As the construction of the Humber College station for the Finch West Light Rail Transit (LRT) line nears completion, there are some important updates for the North Campus.
On December 18, a new access road will open to vehicle traffic extending from President's Way to Highway 27. Drivers can turn right from the North Campus onto Highway 27 heading southbound.
For pedestrians, it is important to note that the new covered walkway along Lot 5 from Arboretum Blvd to the new LRT station is blocked at the station due to ongoing construction. The covered walkway will remain blocked at the station until the LRT is in operation, which is expected to occur in the spring of 2024. Lot 5 users are encouraged to use the covered walkway only in the direction of campus buildings.
The public sidewalk on the south side of Humber College Blvd east of Arboretum Blvd remains closed due to the ongoing construction of the Humber College LRT station. Pedestrians traveling towards Highway 27 must cross at the traffic lights using the crosswalk at Silver Bell Lane and Humber College Blvd and use the sidewalk on the north side of the street.
