Janet Bedard, Associate Dean, Built Environment

It is my great pleasure to announce the appointment of Janet Bedard as Humber’s incoming Associate Dean, Built Environment. Since 2011, Janet has worked in the college system and has held leadership roles in applied research, degree development, community engagement and as a Professor in applied technology. Prior to this, she worked for 10 years in the industry in areas of supply chain management, manufacturing & quality engineering and new product introduction for large Canadian companies working on all phases of new product development, from introduction of design to release to market. Janet has led grassroots initiatives such as Brampton’s first Makerspace and founded a Women in Engineering Technology club to support student diversity. She believes in the power of collaboration and is passionate about student engagement in the community and in applied research. With a Master of Business Administration degree from York University’s Schulich School of Business and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Environmental) from the University of Guelph, Janet brings a wealth of experience and strong leadership skills to the development of key programs that support student success.

Please join me in welcoming Janet to the Humber team. She will take on this new role effective September 5th, 2017.

Sincerely,
