Johanne Hayes Wins NISOD Award

June 3, 2016

The School of Health Sciences would like to congratulate Professor (CE Nursing) Johanne Hayes who received the National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development (NISOD) Award for Excellence in Teaching. Professor Hayes is instrumental in assisting internationally educated health professionals as they navigate our systems, to vocational access in Canada. Serving our newcomers, Professor Hayes assists foreign trained nurses, doctors, and other health professionals in reaching their goals of achieving licensure, or registration, in a health profession such as nursing. Professor Hayes’ passion for helping our new Canadians is exemplary, and as such, she is well deserving of the 2016 NISOD award of excellence.

Please join me in congratulating Professor Johanne Hayes on this remarkable accomplishment.
