John Yolkowski, Manager, Humber Archives

To continue the momentum started by our 50th anniversary, the College has hired an archivist to preserve our history in an ongoing and sustainable way.

It gives me great pleasure to announce that John Yolkowski is the successful candidate for the Manager, Humber Archives position. John has a variety of archival experience and has come to us from the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity where he held the position of Archivist. In this role, John was responsible for managing the Centre’s archives and records management centre. He performed all major archival functions, curated displays of archival material and conducted outreach with various departments. John also has experience as Librarian – Archivist at St. Mary’s University in Halifax and as a Project Manager for the Elisabeth Mann Borgese Digitization Project with the Dalhousie University Archives. Additionally, John was the Copyright Services Coordinator at Dalhousie University Libraries.

John holds a Master of Library and Information Science with a focus on archival coursework from the University of Western Ontario as well as a Master of Arts in Philosophy from the University of Guelph.

John joined Humber Libraries on October 1, 2019. Please join me in congratulating John and welcoming him to the Humber team.
