Humber’s International Centre is excited to welcome over 3,000 new and returning international students to Humber this September. To ensure students are prepared for life in Canada, the International Centre runs a number of events and offers key services that support a smooth a transition. One key event is the International Students’ Meet & Greet which is an opportunity for new international students to meet other students, staff, and faculty. We'll enjoy a Canadian BBQ, play a few games, take a #HumberSelfie or two, and new students will be entered in a draw to win some great prizes!

While an informal and enjoyable event, the Meet & Greet focuses on interactions among incoming international students, helping them strengthen their social network at Humber. Peer mentors (through the Connect Buddy Program) take part alongside the International Centre staff and international student ambassadors, facilitating that socialization. We approach this and other events with the understanding that students’ support network needs to be in place if they are to do their best at Humber and in Canada.
