Mona Nouroozifar, Associate Dean, Mathematics and Research Skills and Analysis

It is with great pleasure that I announce that Mona Nouroozifar has accepted the position of Associate Dean, Mathematics and Research Skills and Analysis in the School of Liberal Arts and Sciences effective January 16, 2017. Mona joins Humber and LAS after enjoying a very successful academic career in various administrative roles at several Ontario institutions, including Durham College, the Ontario College of Trades and Seneca College where she has most recently held the position of Academic Chair, Applied Arts and Health Sciences at the King Campus. Prior to joining the colleges, she also held the position of Manager, National Research and Clinical Programs with the Parkinson Society Canada, Clinical Research Coordinator at CAMH and Project Engineer at Pivotal Consulting Inc., all of which combine to provide her with a very unique perspective into the programs and courses held within her portfolio. She holds a Bachelor of Industrial Engineering from Ryerson University and an MBA from the University of Southern Queensland, Australia where she is currently pursuing her Doctor of Business Administration, in gender-differentiated motivation and academic self-concept as predictors of student retention among community college students. On behalf of the School of Liberal Arts and Sciences and the entire Humber community, let me extend my congratulations and say that we look forward to working with Mona on many new and exciting initiatives as she leads the faculty and staff involved in the development and delivery of courses and programs in the areas of mathematics, research skills and analysis at Humber.
