We are excited to announce that on Thursday, January 16, 2025, the Office of Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging launched the EDIB Advisory Council. This council has been established to support our ongoing commitment to fostering an inclusive, equitable, and welcoming environment for all members of our community. The EDIB Advisory Council will serve as a key advisory body, providing guidance, insights, and recommendations on initiatives and strategies related to the implementation, progress, and evaluation of the EDIB Action Plan.
The launch of the EDIB Advisory Council is a direct reflection of our commitment to Building Brilliance, where a sense of belonging and equity is central to the academic and personal success of our students, faculty, and staff. Together, we are building a campus where everyone has the opportunity to succeed and contribute to a truly inclusive learning, working and living environment.
As part of this initiative, we are also thrilled to inform you that community engagement sessions will begin Thursday, April 10, 2025. These sessions will offer an opportunity for all members of our community to engage in open dialogue, share feedback, and contribute ideas on how we can continue to make progress toward an even more inclusive and supportive campus environment. We encourage you to register online now for sessions, as your voice and perspectives are crucial to shaping the future of our community.
We have also created an online EDIB Feedback Form where members of the community can share their thoughts and ideas on the implementation, progress and evaluation of the EDIB Action Plan.
Thank you for your continued support and commitment to building a more inclusive and equitable community.
