School of HRT Signs New Partnership with La Passerelle-I.D.E.

On June 25, La Passerelle signed an agreement with Humber's School of Hospitality, Recreation & Tourism Continuing Education department regarding the training program "Tremplin Emploi", which will offer young francophone immigrants bilingual training and a paid internship in the hospitality and tourism sector. 

The La Passerelle Tremplin Emploi Program for Francophone Bilingual Immigrants is a unique hospitality bilingual program conceived by La Passerelle-I.D.É and developed by Humber College. Founded more than 20 years ago, La Passerelle-Integration et Developpement Economique, specializes in building bridges between employers and Francophone newcomers.

This program will prepare Francophone newcomers for employment in the hospitality industry by providing:

  • Transferable skills to multiple Hospitality client facing positions
  • Understanding of Canadian Hospitality work landscape and culture
  • Strong communication skills
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Industry expert guest speakers and panel
  • Industry networking opportunities
