Susan Krausz, Associate Dean, Applied Technology

After 18 years of significant contributions to Humber, Susan Krausz, Associate Dean, has decided to retire at the end of this academic year.

Susan first joined Humber as a professor in the Business School. She moved on to become Program Coordinator of Supply Chain Management and then became an Associate Dean in the School of Applied Technology. As Associate Dean with responsibility for the design programs, including the Interior Design and the Industrial Design degrees, Susan has made a significant contribution to Humber.

Under Susan’s direction, the design programs have developed a strong identity of their own within the Humber brand. Design at Humber is now a recognized entity, and these programs share a dedicated facility and space where they will continue to develop in the future.

Susan was also an enthusiastic advocate for United Way. She co-chaired the United Way campaign at Humber for two years and obtained the highest level of support and donations in the history of the college.

We will miss Susan. She has worked very hard on behalf of her faculty and students and deserves to enjoy more time with her friends and family. Susan’s immediate plans on retiring are to spend more time at her beautiful cottage in Haliburton, and to prepare for the upcoming weddings of two of her sons.

Please join me in wishing Susan all the best in her retirement!
