World Environment Day is on June 5 and the theme this year is air pollution. According to the World Health Organization, every year around seven million premature deaths are attributable to air pollution– that's about 13 people every minute!
Air pollution is all around us: indoors, outdoors, in cities and in the countryside but there are ways to reduce the amount of pollution we're creating. We're challenging Humber to #BeatAirPollution, complete as many activites as you can on the #BeatAirPollution challenge checklist and you can win a Humber Room giftcard for two!
Here's how to take the challenge:
- Download the #BeatAirPollution Challenge Checklist (below)
- Complete as many activities on the checklist as you can (bonus if you take pictures) by Sunday, June 9th
- Send your completed checklist to sustainability@humber.ca OR post it on social media and tag @SustainHumber
- The winner will be announced on Monday, June 10
