I am delighted to announce that Jenna Donelson is joining Humber as the college’s new Manager, Public Affairs. Her first day at Humber is on Wednesday, May 29.
Jenna will play a key role in developing and implementing government relations strategies as well as helping to support community partnerships at the Lakeshore campus. She will be working from both the North and Lakeshore campuses, as well as representing the college at events and consultations.
Jenna is a public policy professional with a decade of experience in the public, private and not-for-profit sectors. She has led many strategic projects, including initiatives to increase the representation of women on corporate boards and a first-of-its-kind Ontario financial technology (FinTech) strategy.
Most recently, Jenna served as Head of Policy Development and Regulatory Affairs at Lending Loop, Canada’s first peer-to-peer FinTech company. In her role, she worked with industry, governments and regulators to enable new forms of technology that make important investment products more accessible and easily understood. She also worked with various partners to help find solutions to the access-to-financing gap faced by small businesses across the country.
Prior to joining Lending Loop, Jenna was a senior policy advisor to Ontario's Minister of Finance where she oversaw a number of key financial services files and the post-secondary and K-12 education files.
Jenna serves as a Director on the Board of the Empire Club of Canada.
Please join me in welcoming Jenna to Humber!
