Welcoming New Staff to Applied Research and Innovation

I am pleased and excited to announce the following changes to the Applied Research and Innovation Department:

Tanya Perdikoulias has agreed to accept a secondment to serve in the critical role of Operations Manager. Tanya joined Humber College in 2011 and through her support of the senior executive team, she has worked with all academic schools and departments across the college. Prior to her work at Humber, she worked at the Consulate-General of Japan in Toronto and with the Ontario government in the Health Boards Secretariat.

Tanya has a diverse set of experiences in postsecondary education, provincial government, international government, and the financial sector. Through this, she brings a unique interest in policies and procedures. Recently, Tanya became a proud Humber College graduate in the CE Photography Certificate program and is currently pursuing a certificate in project management.

Jaqueline Nicol has accepted the full-time position of Operations & REB Coordinator. Jaqueline comes to us from the School of Hospitality, Recreation and Tourism where she provided program support to students, faculty, and program coordinators. Over the past year, Jaqueline has become an integral part of the Applied Research and innovation (ARI) team. Jaqueline will be responsible for the coordinating administrative activities for ARI, supporting a wide range of research initiatives and projects, and supporting the development and implementation of effective administrative procedures for ARI. Jaqueline will also coordinate and provide administrative support for the Humber Research Ethics Board.

Duarte Ribeiro has agreed to join the Applied Research & Innovation team as the full-time ARI Financial Administrator. Duarte first joined Humber two years ago as a Research Assistant for ARI, assisting with a wide range of administrative and financial activities for the office. He then took on the role of Finance & Operations Analyst at ARI, as he excelled in key areas such as purchasing, tracking, internal reporting and financial monitoring. Duarte has over 10 years' experience in the banking industry working in various roles such as customer service representative, branch ambassador and fraud analyst with CIBC. Duarte has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Ryerson University where he received a major in Economics and minor in Marketing.
