Do you ever struggle helping your children with their homework? Do you feel nervous when faced with math problems? This three hour hands-on Math for Moms and Dads (How to Tutor Your Children) workshop is designed to help parents become better tutors to children of all ages.

Participants will be introduced to ways to better support their children in the learning process, achieve success in completing homework, and understand ways to help their children be more successful in their learning outside the classroom. Parents will also learn how to set goals, recognize challenges and be introduced to a variety of strategies to use when tutoring their children.

In this workshop, parents will work with specific math problems applicable to the Ontario math curriculum. Although this workshop focuses on Math, the tutoring skills can be applied to all subject areas and grades. Parents will also be provided with resources to use at home.

Workshops begin in March and will be held in Toronto and Hamilton. The cost of the workshop is $50.00
