The ITS Project Management Office is pleased to announce the appointment of Yama Kazim as Project Manager. Yama will be working alongside Darlene Gallant, Erika Silva Hernandez, Adrian Venuti, and Jane Worth to provide project management services to our growing list of clients. Yama will report directly to Michelle Moore, Director of IT Project Management. 

The project manager is responsible for the efficient and effective administration of projects in the Information Technology Services department and will liaison with faculty, staff, students and external partners to deliver projects on time and on budget. The project manager will be involved in project development, assignment of responsibilities, and be responsible to the Senior IT team for ensuring the completion of each of the project tasks. Yama will be working with the Senior IT Team and IT Project Governance to refine and clarify project scope and objectives, identify all linkages and dependencies with other projects and to develop a strategy to successfully achieve project results 

Yama brings over 14 years of experience in Information Technology to our organization, and has been focused on project management for the last 10 years. Yama has a diploma in Information Technology, and has his master’s certificate in Project Management and Business Analysis from the Schulich School of Business. He is currently pursuing a degree in Business Management from York University. He received his PMP in 2012 and is Microsoft certified for A+ Hardware and OS, NT (4.0, 2000, and 2003), Oracle Fundamentals and Dell Hardware. Yama also has significant experience in the education sector as he spent 12 years working at York University for the Schulich School of Business.
