2019 OCAA Men's Volleyball Championship

Humber to Host Ontario's Top Collegiate Men's volleyball Teams

Humber College is proud to host the 2019 Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA) Men’s Volleyball Championship on February 21-23 at the Humber Athletic Centre, North Campus.

The Final Eight championship event will feature four teams currently ranked in the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association’s (CCAA) weekly poll. The Fanshawe Falcons, the 2018 CCAA silver medalist lead the way at number one, a spot they have occupied since November. The host Humber Hawks are slotted at number five, losers of only two games all year, with those defeats coming at the hands of the Falcons. Eastern champion Georgian Grizzlies occupies the eleventh spot, while Ancaster’s Redeemer Royals roll into the top fifteen at number fourteen.

Two teams, the OCAA Champions and finalists, will advance to the 2019 CCAA National Championships which are being held in Red Deer, Alberta on March 6-9.

With the exception of the host Hawks squad, the other seven teams earned their way to the Final Eight Championship by winning a crossover playoff on the previous weekend in the round of sixteen.
