2024 AMC Hackathon (Agricultural Manufacturers of Canada Hackathon)

The 2024 AMC (Agricultural Manufacturers of Canada) Hackathon is taking place on November 6 to 7 at the Barrett CTI (5th floor). It is an opportunity for Humber students to create and collaborate to solve a real-world industry problem in the field of agricultural manufacturing. Any registered Humber student is eligible to participate (they will compete in teams of four and will need to be supervised by either a Humber faculty, COI manager or any Humber staff).

Hackathon Date & Time
The hackathon problem will be announced at 9 a.m. on November 6, 2024 at the event (the problem will be announced on the 5th floor at the Barrett CTI and via a virtual link for participants that cannot attend in-person).

The prizes for the winning teams will be announced at 12 p.m. on November 7, 2024 after students present their solutions at this time.

Prizes:

  • 1st Place Team Prize: $500 (per student)
  • 2nd Place Team Prize: $250 (per student)
  • 3rd Place Team Prize : $100 (per student)

Teams
Students will work on the Hackathon problem in teams of four students plus one Humber faculty/COI manager/staff. If you do not have a full team of four students, you will be assigned to a team.

Please note that if you have a full team, each student from the team is required to submit their own registration form.

Location/In-Person vs. Virtual Participation
Note that if you are unable to participate in-person, you can participate virtually (the link to participate will be shared closer to the date of the event). In-person participation will be at the Barrett CTI, 5th floor on November 6 and 7.
