You're invited! The Soka Education Research Centre on Global Citizenship (SERC-GC) at the University of Guelph-Humber is excited to host our 7th annual special lecture. This event is taking place virtually on Monday, November 18, 2024, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. (EDT). The special lecture is an exciting tradition where we have the opportunity to hear from scholars and practitioners in the fields of Soka education and global citizenship.
This year we are honoured to welcome Dr. Ira Helfand, co-founder and Past President of Physicians for Social Responsibility (PSR), Past President of International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War (IPPNW), and a member of the International Steering Group of the International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons (ICAN). Dr. Helfand will be lecturing on the highly important and timely topic, "The Growing Danger Of Nuclear War And What We Can Do To Prevent It".

We hope that you will be able to attend this year's special lecture.
