Academic Services Lecture Series - ECE Perceptions on the Development of Sexuality and Gender: Do We Make the Grade?

Academic Services invites you to attend the second Winter 2017 Lecture Series event, featuring Professor Alice Balter from the Family & Community Social Services program at the University of Guelph-Humber. Professor Alice Balter’s lecture will explore early childhood educators' (ECEs) knowledge, perceptions and training needs on the development of sexuality and gender. In collaboration with Dr. Tricia van Rhijn (University of Guelph), Professor Balter’s research contributes practical information of an understudied area to the larger field of early childhood. The importance of ECEs receiving professional training to support these developmental domains will be discussed. Please join us on Tuesday, March 7th, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. for Professor Balter’s lecture: “ECE Perceptions on the Development of Sexuality and Gender: Do We Make the Grade?” Learn what sexuality is and why it is an important area to study. A light lunch will be served. Space is very limited! Please RSVP to academicservices@guelphhumber.ca, and state any dietary restrictions.
