This introductory workshop will focus on Academic Integrity (AI) and its practical application to different learning environments. The benefits to the acculturation of students to learning environments that emphasize a culture of AI, along with the roles and opportunities for faculty in supporting cultures of AI will begin to be explored. A variety of delivery methods including a PowerPoint presentation and group work will be employed throughout the workshop. At the end of this workshop participants will be able to:
- Define Academic Integrity (AI) and the values aligned with AI
- Explain and summarize the benefits to creating clear and transparent learning environments that feature, support, and strengthen AI
- Determine how to create learning environments that clearly and transparently embody, support, and strengthen AI
