Day of Digital Literacy

You are invited to celebrate Toronto’s Day of Digital Literacy by participating in the Humber College “Digital Excellence Through Partnerships” event happening at North Campus on Thursday, May 31. This event is free and will feature a special welcome from Humber President, Chris Whitaker. This will be followed by a short panel comprised of partners from industry, Humber and community who are working together on the STEMing Up program, which supports young women to access STEM-based careers and skills. The panel will discuss key issues facing communities around digital literacy and access as well as best practices for partnering across sectors.

The panel will be followed by a professional speed networking activity, facilitated by Shopify, where attendees will have the opportunity to connect with tech industry professionals, Humber faculty and students, as well as community partners who want to work together to support innovation in digital literacy initiatives.

When: 10 a.m. - 12 p.m., Thursday, May 31, 2018, designated as the Day of Digital Literacy by the City of Toronto
