About William and the Windmill:
"With only a 20-year old textbook as his guide, 14-year-old William Kamkwamba builds a humble homemade windmill in his Malawian village that changes his life forever. Using junk parts and his imagination, he harnesses enough energy to power a generator that saves his family from famine and resuscitates his dying farming community. The windmill transforms William’s life and catapults him on to the world stage leading him to opportunities and choices that distance him from the life he once knew and the people he loves. A subtle and beautiful portrait of the difficult balancing act of third word activism.
William and the Windmill, Winner of: Best Documentary 2013 – Sundance Film Festival, Flyway Film Festival, Asheville Film Festival and SXSW Grand Jury Prize for Best Documentary."
