Free Soil Health Workshop at the Humber Arboretum

Is a healthier garden part of your plans for 2017?  Join the Etobicoke Master Gardeners (EMG) at the Humber Arboretum for a helpful workshop on Soil Health – The Natural Approach. You’ll learn what soil is made of, what good soil provides to plants, and how to test for basic soil types. We'll look at the benefits and basics of composting, along with providing an introduction to mycorrhizae - what it is, its benefits, and how we use it. You'll learn how to feed your soil, so your soil will feed your plants! This workshop is free but registration is required at humberarboretum.on.ca/events.php. The Centre for Urban Ecology is located on the grounds of the Humber Arboretum, behind the North Campus in Etobicoke. Visit the directions page on the Arboretum website. This workshop is part of an ongoing series of Eco-Garden Community Workshops offered by the Etobicoke Master Gardeners at the Humber Arboretum. Look for "Getting Your Garden Ready for Spring" coming up in March.
