The Office of EDIB, LGBTQ+ Resource Centre, and the Indigenous Education and Engagement team invites students, staff, and faculty members to join us for Honouring Two-Spirit Identity: A Community Conversation with Teddy Syrette.
Come be part of a powerful and insightful conversation as we honour Two-Spirit and Indigenous LGBTQQIA+ Awareness & Celebration Day with Teddy Syrette (Ozhawa Anung Kwe/Yellow Star Woman)—a renowned 2-Spirit Anishnabe advocate, mental health expert, and award-winning changemaker from Rankin Reserve of Batchewana.
Through storytelling and lived experience, Teddy will explore the significance of Two-Spirit identity, the intersections of Indigenous and LGBTQ+ advocacy, and the importance of community, resilience, and celebration.
This is an opportunity to learn, reflect, and engage in a meaningful dialogue about inclusivity and belonging.
