How to Get Your Story Out Workshop

Humber's Office of Research and Innovation invites you to attend an exciting new workshop we are hosting next month!

How to Get Your Story Out

You’ve done the work, how do you let others know just how amazing it is? Yes, there are the scholarly journals we all know about, but how about other paths to sharing the news? You won’t know the impact your research or other stories may have until you get them out there. In this workshop, we’re going to talk about how to get your story out, whether it’s a story of new knowledge, great processes, or even that bucket list romantic sci-fi thriller you have been working on. We will focus on publishing in “books” of all types. Keep an open mind and come learn how to get your story out.

Facilitator Bio

Akosua Joy Brown is an expert in all things “story”—which she describes as accounts of events and people told to educate and/or entertain. She worked with the United Nations system when they were wondering how to make all the data they were collecting relevant to the public and was a key contributor to their Environmental Data Report series. Now she helps writers of all sorts to write, publish, distribute, market, and sell their work through her business, What’s Your Story-Author Services.
