Humber College’s 2SLGBTQ+ Employee Resource Group Commemorates the Trans Day of Remembrance 2021

Two-spirit, trans and non-binary people across Canada face discrimination, abuse and violence. Many are exposed to this violence because of the difficulties they face in accessing health care, employment and housing (source). Trans Day of Remembrance commemorates those who have been lost as a result of anti-trans violence, and brings attention to the continued violence endured by the trans community. On this Trans Day of Remembrance, Humber College’s 2SLGBTQ+ Employee Resource Group (ERG) stands in solidarity with two-spirit, trans and non-binary people across the country, within Toronto, and at Humber College.

We invite those who wish to support this day to attend Student Success and Engagement's event on November 19 at 10 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.:

As well, the 519 will be hosting a virtual Trans Day of Remembrance on November 20, 2021 at 4 p.m.:
