Humber Docs 2017

Humber College School of Media Studies and Information Technology Film and Media Production students to premiere documentaries in showcase. After a four month process the talented Humber Film and Media Production students are ready to showcase their works of art. On Friday, April 21, 10 documentaries will premiere at the Assembly Hall located at 1 Colonel Samuel Smith Park Drive, in Etobicoke. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and screenings start at 7 p.m. Students pitched, produced, filmed, and edited these documentaries in groups of four and five. The films range on a variety of topics such as fad dieting, the world of cosplay, and the importance of learning. With a diverse lineup there will be something interesting for anyone who comes out to support the students and the arts. “We poured our hearts and souls into these films and are proud to finally get to share them with friends, family, faculty, and honoured guests.” said Devika Smith, member of the Humber Documentary Screening Committee. This event will be free for everyone attending and all donations will go towards fundraising initiatives made by the Humber Film Committee. The third year film makers are a diverse group of about 50 film students from around the GTA and world. For information please contact Suzy Queen at suz.queeny@gmail.com or via telephone 647.920.7899.
