Humber Esports Makes History with Premier TEKKEN World Tournament: Electric Clash

Humber Esports is making history! In partnership with Incendium Gaming, Humber College is serving as the official venue and educational partner for “Electric Clash,” a global esports tournament and the first stop on the TEKKEN World Tour.

Electric Clash will be held on April 20 at the IGNITE Student Centre at Humber's North Campus.

About TEKKEN

TEKKEN is a beloved fighting game with a rich casual and competitive scene worldwide. In 2017, it was entered into the Guinness World Records for having the ‘Longest-running consistent videogame storyline’. TEKKEN 8 marks the next chapter of this well-known franchise and will be the focus of competition at Electric Clash 2024.

History in the Making

Humber College is the first ever post-secondary institution in the world to host a stop for a TEKKEN World Tour Challenger event. This event also smashed the record for the largest competitive TEKKEN bracket ever organized in Canada.

Industry Experience and Sponsors

Humber College students remain at the heart of this initiative. Through a partnership stewarded by Humber Esports and Incendium Gaming, students will gain valuable industry experience through paid staff and volunteer roles. This will provide experiential learning opportunities and a real-world work environment for all participating students.

Electric Clash is also welcoming a variety of sponsors, including Canada Computers, Razer, and Blacklyte, in addition to an artist alley.

Don't miss a second of the action. Electric Clash will be available to stream live on Twitch.
