On November 24, Humber Press will launch 'Instructions to a Dying Infidel', a groundbreaking new work of scholarship and translation by former Humber professor John L. Steckley.

The event will be held at the North Gallery, ground floor of the Learning Resource Commons. All are welcome.

“I devoured this book. Steckley’s words fire the imagination.” – Joseph Boyden, author of The Orenda

“With characteristic brilliance, Steckley’s translation, assessment, and explanation of Jesuits’ instructions on how to convert dying Wendat peoples has broad appeal for linguists, historians, anthropologists, literary critics, sociologists, and all scholars of colonial settler societies” – Carolyn Podruchny, Associate Professor of History at York University

Copies will be available for sale at the event.
