Intercultural Competencies

Date/Time:
February 28, 2012 - 1:35pm
Where:
North Campus, Room D236

Cultural values and assumptions influence behaviour and affect our interactions
with our students. Join us to explore the domains of cultural dimensions: power
orientation, individualism/collectivism, masculinity/femininity, uncertainty
avoidance and time orientation. How do we provide opportunities for our students
to transform through the stages of intercultural competence in the classroom?
Take time to assess your own identity and translate that awareness and
understanding into reflective action.
